Look what I found (and almost stepped on)! Wandering the leaf covered ground of my wooded backyard, this caterpillar was looking for a warm place to wait out the cold weather. I put it on a board that was lying near by and brought it inside. Ever since I share hot cocoa with this hairy oddball caterpillar and couldn't but notice its amazing resemblance to a cat. It even purrs!
